Fundraising

FAIRFIELD SCHOOL, BATLEY (SCHOOL FUND) - is a charity that has been entered onto the Charity Commission Register of Charities, with the Registered Charity Number 1184419

We are now fundraising for two Acheeva Beds.

Acheeva beds use Symmetrisleep positioning elements to provide support for children on their back, tummy or side lying.
Students who would otherwise struggle to maintain a functional position can relax and focus on learning and play.
They have adjusted height, back and bed angles which can enhance communication and interaction.
Being off the floor is safer for students and better for staff members’ backs and knees.
When a bathroom break is needed, you can just wheel the Acheeva bed into a bathroom and cut out the hoist transfers especially if children are unwell. It saves time fitting slings/ transfers, increasing more time in classroom.
Our pupils have very complex postural needs, making equipment difficult for them to tolerate. Acheeva beds allow staff and therapists’ to support their postural needs in a more adaptable position that feels comfortable for them.
