Pupil Wellbeing

Pupil wellbeing is at the heart of the curriculum at Fairfield and has links to all areas of provision. At Fairfield School, well-being is embedded throughout the curriculum, enabling pupils to feel confident, make positive relationships, express emotions, manage change and to cope with the stresses of everyday life.

The importance of pupil wellbeing for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) cannot be overstated.  Our students often face unique challenges, and their emotional and mental wellbeing significantly impacts their ability to learn and thrive in educational environments. Focusing on pupil wellbeing not only supports their emotional health but also has a direct link to to their positive personal development and progress. By addressing their specific needs, providing a supportive and inclusive environment, and promoting strategies for emotional regulation, students at Fairfield can experience improved self-esteem, engagement, and overall happiness, leading to better educational outcomes. Priortising pupil wellbeing for all our students is crucial for their holistic development and long-term success.
